What does legal services cover for car insurance include?

Legal Expenses for car insurance is optional cover that you can add at the start or during your policy. It provides legal support and advice for a wide range of motor incidents and can give you peace of mind knowing you can get help with legal costs, such as:

  • Personal injury cover for you and your passengers following a road traffic accident, which wasn't your fault
  • Uninsured loss recovery for damages and recovering costs if you're in an accident that wasn't your fault, and the other insured party is at fault
  • Defence of motoring prosecutions to defend a criminal legal action that has arisen from the use of your car, for example, a speeding ticket you want to dispute
  • Vehicle cloning – if your car identity is stolen, you’ll be covered for costs to defend criminal or civil proceedings
