Where's my refund?

How much money you get back or have to pay when you cancel your policy will depend on the reason for cancellation, how you pay for your policy, how long you’ve had it for and whether or not you’ve made a claim or may need to make a claim.

If you pay annually
You’ll usually get a refund for the unused months of your cover. This is worked out on a pro-rata basis and may include an admin fee.

If you pay monthly
You typically won’t receive a refund, as you’re paying for your cover as you go.

How much you’ll get back depends on when you cancel:

Within the 14-day cooling-off period
If you change your mind within 14 days of your policy starting or receiving your documents, you’re legally entitled to a refund. We’ll only charge for the days you were covered, plus a small admin fee.

After the 14-day cooling-off period
You can still cancel at any time. If you paid annually, we’ll usually deduct a cancellation fee and may keep a portion of your premium.
