Ageas UK has entered a new strategic partnership with leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) insurtech, Wrisk, by joining its motor insurance panel.

Launched in 2015, Wrisk offers a bespoke technology platform delivering smarter, more personalised motor insurance experiences to the customers of vehicle manufacturers.

The new partnership brings together Ageas’s underwriting strength and expertise with Wrisk’s flexible technology and deep integration with automotive manufacturers to create a scalable B2B2C distribution route; the two businesses will jointly deliver a product that meets the evolving expectations of customers purchasing modern vehicles.

Wrisk’s platform enables real-time data ingestion from OEM sources, including the ability to utilise vehicle-specific data points to deliver pricing accuracy and risk selection, ensuring customers receive the most appropriate cover for their needs.

Adam Beckett, Managing Director of Broker and Partnerships at Ageas, said:

“Ageas is committed to building strong, future-focused partnerships with trusted intermediaries to reach customers through channels they value most, and this agreement reinforces that commitment.

“Wrisk’s technology and use of OEM data align with our ambition to deliver smarter, more personalised insurance solutions, while maintaining the underwriting quality and service standards partners and customers expect. We’re excited for the growth opportunities this presents for both of our businesses, and ultimately for the services tailored to our customers.”

Nimeshh Patel, CEO at Wrisk, said:

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Ageas, a leading Personal Lines insurer. Ageas’s appetite for innovation and its strong partnerships heritage make it an ideal partner for our OEM-driven distribution model.

“By combining our flexible tech platform with Ageas’s underwriting expertise, we can offer vehicle manufacturers and their customers insurance products that are seamless, data-driven, and truly customer-centric.”
