Ageas UK today announces two senior appointments that further build on the strengths of its leadership team and support its ongoing transformation and integration plans.
Appointment of Chief Technology Officer
Ageas UK has appointed Jason Selby as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Jason brings more than 25 years of experience delivering major technology transformation across the financial services sector, including senior leadership roles in global digital operations, enterprise architecture and large-scale change portfolios. He has a proven track record of modernising technology estates, simplifying complex platforms and driving customer-centred innovation.
Jason’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Ageas UK, following last year’s acquisition of esure. The integration of esure’s strong digital and engineering capability provides a significant opportunity to accelerate Ageas’s technology transformation. Jason will play a key role in bringing together the strengths of both organisations, shaping a future platform strategy that leverages esure’s digital-first expertise alongside Ageas’s established customer and operational capability.
Commenting on his appointment, Jason Selby said:
“I’m delighted to be joining Ageas at such a pivotal moment. There is a significant opportunity to modernise, simplify and build technology that truly supports our customers and colleagues in the newly combined Ageas and esure business. I look forward to working with the teams to shape the future platform strategy and support the integration journey ahead.”
Creation of Chief of Staff role
Ageas UK has also appointed Katie Davies as Chief of Staff, a role that reflects both the scale of the company’s transformation and its commitment to developing internal talent.
Katie will work closely with Ant Middle as CEO and UK Executive Team to coordinate strategic priorities and strengthen cross‑functional collaboration through a period of significant organisational change and integration. She brings extensive insurance experience and has spent almost a decade at Ageas, progressing through a series of strategic and operational roles.
Commenting on the appointments, Ant Middle said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Jason to the Ageas UK leadership team. Katie, who is already an established and highly valued member of the team, steps into her new role at an important moment for our organisation.”
“Jason’s arrival couldn’t be better timed. esure brings exceptional digital capability, and Jason’s expertise in modernising and simplifying complex estates will help us bring the best of both organisations together. This is a huge opportunity to build a future-forward technology foundation that supports faster innovation and delivers even better experiences for our customers and our people.”
“Katie is an outstanding example of the talent we have within Ageas. She brings deep insurance experience, almost a decade of insight from across our business, and a proven ability to connect people and priorities. Her journey reflects the opportunities we want to create for our people, and I’m delighted to see her step into this important new role.”
These appointments reinforce Ageas UK’s commitment to strengthening its leadership capability and accelerating its journey toward becoming a simpler, more digital and customer-focused insurer.
Jason’s appointment is subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
