Insurance groups and tax bands for Nissan models
There are lots of things insurers factor in when calculating a car insurance quote. One factor that some insurers look at is the insurance group of the car you want to cover.
This refers to bandings, numbered 1-50, that reflect the engine power, value and repair costs of a given model of car.
You’ll also need to think about the cost of Vehicle Exercise Duty (VED) on your Nissan. This is a tax paid annually on any car used on UK roads, and is sorted by CO2 emissions using a banding system, with the most polluting vehicles paying the most.
