At Ageas UK, we want to ensure that everyone can access and use our website with ease. We are continuously working to make our digital experience as inclusive as possible.
Our commitment to accessibility
We are committed to making meaningful improvements that enhance usability for everyone and we strive to:
- Design with accessibility in mind: consider accessibility at every stage of development.
- Test for usability: regularly review our site with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.
- Seek feedback: listen, and make improvements based on experiences.
Enhancements we are implementing
We are actively working on the following improvements:
- Keyboard navigation
Ensure all forms, menus and interactive elements can be used without a mouse. - Text alternatives
Provide meaningful alternative text for all non-text content, including images and multimedia. - Consistent navigation
Ensure that menus and interactive elements follow a consistent structure across all pages. - Colour contrast
Enhance readability by meeting recommended contrast ratios. - Accessible forms
Ensure forms have clear labels, error messages and instructions to ensure they're easy to use. - Adjustable text and zoom
Allow text resizing up to 200% without loss of functionality or readability.
While we are making significant progress, we know there is always more to be done. We are continuously refining our approach to ensure any current gaps are addressed.
Our ongoing commitment
We are dedicated to:
- Regular accessibility reviews: conducting regular reviews to identify and address areas for improvement
- Empowering our teams: providing accessibility training for designers, developers and content creators
- Feedback-driven improvements: using feedback to prioritise and address accessibility improvements.
