In a further demonstration of its strength in partnership insurance solutions, Ageas has secured a five year deal to provide John Lewis Car Insurance. Sales and service functions will continue to be provided from Ageas’s Stoke-on-Trent customer contact centre and Ageas Insurance Limited will also retain its position as lead panel underwriter.
Ageas will continue to provide a car insurance product specifically created for John Lewis Insurance, taking into consideration the key cover options and benefits, based on customer research. The policy remains available through a range of distribution options, with direct channels playing a major part, but also supported by aggregator website presence. As part of the new, extended contract, Ageas will continue to provide sales and administration support, along with its award winning claims service for customers.
Announcing the five year deal extension, Mark Cliff, CEO of Ageas Retail said: “We are extremely proud to not only partner one of the UK’s most trusted brands, but also to provide a Which? recommended car insurance product* to John Lewis Insurance customers. Working with such a valuable partner, Ageas will continue to provide high levels of customer care, combined with a product that meets the needs of its discerning customers. Our new five year agreement is testament to our unwavering focus on service delivery and innovation, and underpins our increasing strength in partnerships.”
John Brady, Head of Commercial at John Lewis Insurance, said: “We select our partners very carefully to ensure they meet our exacting standards and understand the values we maintain as a business. Ageas has the product expertise and customer focus to deliver the John Lewis experience from policy inception through to claim. We are delighted to be continuing to work with Ageas for both our car and travel insurance products.”
The contract builds on the existing relationship between the two businesses, which dates back to 2008. The partnership was further enhanced in 2012, when Ageas was selected by John Lewis Insurance to develop and provide travel insurance for its customers, handling the sales, administration and claims services.
