Optima Bike already provides cover for a wide range of motorcycle models, from mopeds through to superbikes. However, responding to feedback from brokers, Ageas has enhanced its rating model for Optima Bike which means it is now able to offer more competitive premiums on newer, higher value and high performance models. The move will provide both specialist motorcycle and mainstream brokers looking to grow their bike business with a strong sales proposition, broadening their opportunities to secure motorcycle business in time for the peak Spring and Summer sales season.
Robin Broughton, Motorcycle Development Underwriter at Ageas Insurance said: “We have implemented a more sophisticated rating system which means we are able to improve our pricing on a wider range of vehicle ages, types and values. This development really underlines our commitment to remain at the forefront of the motorcycle insurance market, giving brokers serving the motorcycling community the tools they need to secure business as the season really gets underway.”
