We have taken the difficult decision to stop providing Elastic insurance

This means that, once your existing policy expires, you will need to find an alternative. If you find cover elsewhere before this date, you can log on to your account at any time and cancel your policy.

You can look for other providers yourself or you can contact the British Insurance Brokers Association, BIBA on 0370 950 1790 or visit www.biba.org.uk/find-insurance. They can’t give advice, but can direct you to an insurance broker.

Elastic was a pilot innovation offering a different type of insurance on a monthly basis. As part of the innovation, we have learned a lot which is now feeding into our future product development. However we don’t feel Elastic stands up as a commercial proposition in its own right. 

We continue to review our product portfolio in line with the market and customer needs but at the moment, there are no plans to replace Elastic with a similar product. 

Ageas is currently developing a home insurance product that we expect to release directly to customers in 2020. Meanwhile our home insurance products are available directly through Rias and via brokers.

There is no change to the claims service we provide. Customers should claim in the normal way. Our UK based claims team is available 24/7 365 days a year.

Your online account is available so please access it in the normal way. If you are unable to access your online accounts you can contact us on Help@ageas.co.uk and we can send your documents to you.

Our policy wording says that “We reserve the right to cancel your policy at any time by giving you no less than 60 days written notice to the email address we have on file for you and on your dashboard. Reasons we can do this would include (but not limited to); withdrawing the product from the market or where you have not told us about changes to your circumstances. Any such notice will explain our reasons for cancellation.”
