The Ageas Bowl
In February 2012, Ageas announced its partnership with the home of Hampshire Cricket. The partnership involved rebranding the stadium to ‘The Ageas Bowl’, as part of an 11 year deal.
In 2011 the venue made history by hosting the first ever Test match on the South Coast as England took on Sri Lanka. In 2014, The Ageas Bowl hosted the Test match between India and England. It has also hosted arena-scale shows such as REM, Billy Joel and more recently Barry Manilow and Boyzone. The development of a four-star 175-bedroom Hilton hotel has enhanced its reputation as both one of the best venues in England for International cricket and a destination venue for conferences and events. The hotel opened in May 2015. Visit www.hiltonhotelsouthampton.co.uk for further information.
At the official unveiling of The Ageas Bowl, Barry Smith, CEO, Ageas UK commented: “We are delighted to reveal the branding of The Ageas Bowl. This partnership provides us with an excellent platform to continue to raise the profile of the Ageas brand. The Ageas Bowl has generated local and international recognition for cricket but also hosts a number of prestigious events including concerts and family events. We very much look forward to continuing to work with Hampshire Cricket Club on what is proving to be a very exciting partnership.”
